Coca-Cola has a history almost as colorful as the drink itself. The Coca-Cola Company’s headquarters are located in Atlanta, Georgia, where the beverage was first concocted in 1886. Since it’s invention by Dr. John S. Pemberton Coca Cola started it’s way to the top, blessed with some of the most visionary and inspired promoters, marketers and advertisers in advertising history.
“Share A Coke” campaign puts names on Coca-Cola bottles and cans
Coca-Cola is replacing its branding with one of Australia’s 150 most popular first names for a new ad campaign in the country. Bottles for its ‘Share a Coke’ summer campaign with different names printed on them are on sale now. Each of the 150 names has also had an individual song written about it.
The names were put on Coca-Cola bottles so consumers can have fun finding their friends and family members names and then enjoy sharing a Coke together. The campaign also includes three TV commercials featuring the names of Matt, Luke and Kate. Here’s the ad for Kate:

Coca-Cola – “Plant Billboard”
The 60 x 60 foot living billboard is made of thousands of Fukien tea plants, which is known to absorb air pollutants. The plants are spread across the billboard surrounding the iconic curvy shape of a silver Coke bottle.
This billboard helps alleviate air pollution within its proximate areas as it can absorb a total of 46,800 pounds of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, on estimate.
Moreover this billboard makes use of recyclable materials. A total of 3,600 pots were used in the billboard, recycling old bottles of various Coca-Cola products.
